utilizing technology in team building Report

Within the comprehensive sessions of the Youth Climate Action Training Program (2024), a session titled ” utilizing technology in team building” was held on Saturday, May 26th. The session was led by Dr. Zaid Rababah, an expert in programming, computer applications, artificial intelligence, clinical psychology, and international project management.

Dr. Rababah delved into various aspects of employing technology to enhance team building, efficiency, and cohesion. He began by introducing scientific techniques in psychology to construct cohesive teams capable of achieving and innovating. This involved utilizing personality profiling to identify team members’ unique traits and assigning them to roles that best suited their profiles, thereby boosting efficiency, increasing productivity, and fostering a harmonious work environment.

Rababah highlighted the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), which categorizes individuals into 16 personality types. He emphasized that each type possesses distinct strengths that can be leveraged and developed by team leaders. To build a successful team, he suggested that leaders should first understand themselves and then proceed to understand the personalities of their team members. This understanding enables effective team assignment, leading to optimized task allocation, enhanced team capabilities, and improved skills. He added that a team leader is not necessarily the most intelligent but rather the most responsible.

Rababah further emphasized the importance of personality profiling for both team leaders and human resources professionals in building well-integrated, cohesive teams capable of achieving and innovating. He noted that personalities evolve over time, necessitating periodic personality assessments, such as every six months. He stressed that by understanding their strengths and weaknesses, team members can enhance their strengths and mitigate their weaknesses. Rababah concluded the session by discussing methods to increase dopamine levels and motivation, including setting and writing down monthly goals.

The session, conducted via Zoom, was attended by over 400 participants from various Arab countries and lasted two hours. Participants engaged in numerous discussions and contributions, highlighting the session’s significance in team building and personal development.

The Comprehensive Youth Training Program for Climate Action (2024), initiated by the National Forum for Environment and Sustainable Development in partnership with the University of Jerash, the Arab Youth Network for Sustainable Development, and the Aman Initiative in Jordan, stands as the first training program of its kind in the Arab world.
